# mikael.io

> Mikael Gueck (gumi), software architect in Finland, building software since 1994. Contact: gumi@iki.fi. Archive of 134 posts from 2007–2012, in English and Finnish.

I help organisations get more out of their software investments: business results per unit of resources, over the whole lifecycle, with the risks kept in proportion.

These days machines write a fair share of the code. That makes typing cheaper, but typing was never the expensive part. Someone always has to understand the people, the business and the technology well enough to decide what is worth building.
